Play Therapy is a therapeutic approach primarily designed for children typically aged between 3 and 12 years, who may not yet have the verbal skills to express their feelings and thoughts effectively. It is particularly beneficial for children experiencing emotional or behavioural challenges, such as:
(and not limited to)
Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Grief and Loss,
Family issues such as Parental Separation,
Emotional Based School Avoidance.
Through play, a natural form of communication for children, therapists can observe, understand and help guide the client in processing their emotions and work through their challenges with great outcomes.

Anxiety is very common in children and I have worked with clients who are struggling to manage the symptoms of anxiety.
Devastating life events happen and when a child or young person experiences loss or grief this can be difficult for them to process
School avoidance is of particular interest to me. I have extensively researched this topic during my studies and recognise it's very common in children.
All of life's challenges can and do impact sleep. It's not surprising that you are not alone and play therapy is well suited to unravelling the core reasons behind poor sleep patterns.
My approach to emotion regulation is rooted in empathy and compassion with no judgement.
Behaviour is communication!
Events such as family/child illness can derail children and leave them with a sense of uncertainty which in turn can lead to difficulties which play therapy will help to navigate
.
