Trauma affects all aspects of a child’s physiological and psychological growth, which is why after experiencing trauma they may have difficulty regulating their emotions, managing impulse control or communicating their feelings. Play as a form of therapy is used to help clients directly deal with their unresolved trauma and make sense of themselves and the world in a fun, stimulating way.
